HAGLUNDS HEEL BUMPS Haglund's bump is a condition where a firm fibro-fatty swelling develops over the posterior (back) aspect of the heel at the area of the insertion of the Achilles tendon. These are caused by the heel constantly rubbing with the back of the shoe and in most cases there are no symptoms, however, occasionally these bumps can become inflamed and painful.
